Koh Rong

Koh Rong Island is known as the second biggest island of Cambodia. Koh Rong is situated in Koh Kong Province for around 25 km off the Sihanoukville's coast in the Thailand Gulf; Koh Rong has an area of more or less 78 km2 and 43 kilometers of beaches. At this time, there are four villages and all of those are not too large in size and also home to more than a dozen bungalows and guesthouses, most of them owned by foreign companies. Koh Rong Island has had a land dispensation granted by the Government of Cambodia. The Royal Group has been allowed a 99-year lease and has plans to construct “Asia’s first ever environmentally planned Resort Island.”


If a person wants to visit the Koh Rong Island now, he must feel him lucky, because he can enjoy the half desert island, with his friends and family, he can also enjoy the life with people of villages, so have actually relax time; no traffic!!! At this time there are just some accommodations with rooms and bungalows, but the future will not be as same as it is now! So you’ll have to think too much if you want to come here, so don’t wait and come here now. (The boat from Sihanoukville will only take 2 hours).


If you are visiting Koh Rong Island and, when you'll get up in the morning you'll find you in paradise, with white sand, many corals and fishes, long beach, and everything inside the island. They have no proper arrangements of electricity, but you don’t need to worry about it as they have proper arrangements of generator. There are no proper developed roads, but have prepared beaten tracks, you will have pleasant experience of walking into the amazing jungle or you can visit the beach you prefer, so only by boat or by foot!

Short description:

Klong Son beach (or Had Klong Son) is located on the north of Koh Chang. Nice bay at the very top of the island. Pure white sand stretch of beach, shaded with coconut trees. Klong Son gets very low numbers of visitors with the bulk of the backpackers and tourists alike speeding south enroute to Koh Chang's finer and more popular stretches of sand.

Short description:

Koh Chang's most famous stretch of sand, at over 2km long there's certainly room for everyone! Lined with bungalows, food stalls and shops this is one of the best beaches in all of Thailand.

Short description:

Situated on the somewhat less glamorous, northern side of the Koh Chang Island, Klong Prao isn’t all that much of tourist destination, especially for those who are in need of a true holiday experience of the exotic kind.

Short description:

Also known as Kai Bae Beach, this is the spot to catch a great sunset! A few small shops and food stalls are along the beach, a good spot to chill out away from the crowds at White Sands Beach.

Short description:

A well-sheltered bay with a small and quiet beach. It is a fishing community where residents still live in houses built on stilts and are connected by wooden bridges. There are a growing number of tourist shops, scuba dive outlets and seafood restaurants offering a good selection of seafood.

Short description:

There aren’t so much attraction in Salak Kok, but tourists can Kayak among the mangroves. Salak Kok Bay still has a fishing community that doesn’t change so much in many years, a great place to see the real traditional Thai community.
